Farkle Upset.

So after hearing a lot about this fun game- Farkle- I found it on sale at Target a few weeks back for like $4. Of course I now know that I didn't need to buy the game just some dice and learn the scoring, but oh well it has a neat little case. Anyway, it has become our new family obssesion. We love to play games together but sometimes it is a challenge to find ones that all the kids can understand and enjoy playing. This game, however, has become a quick favorite. Even Carter enjoys sitting up and helping roll the dice, although he also enjoys getting up on the table quick and stealing the dice. Anyway, tonight was our biggest Farkle upset to date. I had just scored the winning turn and had a score of 10,900 points. Everyone else was around 3,000 or more behind me and I thought for sure it was a sure win. This would have been my first win. Then to everyone's amazement Jack managed to score 4600 points in one turn, 3 times through the dice. He got double triplets, 3 pair and some other things. He couldn't have been more excited. In fact he is going to take the score sheet to school on Monday for his final "sharing" item. Thanks to Brad and Andrea I also purchased for about the same price that day "Pass the Pig". We have yet to play it, and the point of the game is just like Farkle but that is next on our list. We haven't had this much competition in our house since our last heated game of "Sorry".
